DuoNeb® is indicated for the treatment of bronchospasm associated with COPD for patients requiring more than one bronchodilator. In a 12-week clinical study, the most common adverse reactions reported with DuoNeb® Inhalation Solution were chest pain, pharyngitis, diarrhea, bronchitis, nausea, and leg cramps.
Albuterol sulfate can have a significant cardiovascular effect, significant hypokalemia, and the potential life-threatening paradoxical bronchospasm. Caution is advised in patients with convulsive disorders, hyperthyroidism, diabetes mellitus, narrow-angle glaucoma, prostatic hypertrophy, or bladder-neck obstruction. Co-administration of DuoNeb® Inhalation Solution and other sympathomimetic agents may increase the risk of adverse cardiovascular effects.

Resources
You can take steps to make sure you are not in an environment that adds stress to your lungs.
Avoid respiratory irritants
Fumes from paint and automobile exhaust, some cooking odors, certain perfumes, hair spray, dust, cold air, and extremely humid or dry air can be irritating and should be avoided. Keep the humidity level in your home at 40 - 50 %. Change furnace and air conditioner filters frequently.
Protect yourself from cold air
Wear a soft scarf or a cold air mask (available from a pharmacy) over your mouth and nose to warm the air as it enters your lungs. Breathe through your nose because it helps warm up the air as it travels to your lungs. It also prevents spasms of the bronchial passages.
Avoid respiratory infections
Get a pneumonia vaccination as advised by your doctor and an annual influenza immunization. Avoid direct contact with people who have a cold or the flu. Make sure that you and your caregivers wash your hands often. Most infections are spread by hand contact.
